1. Introduction and Acceptance

Welcome to my mobile applications and services. These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("you," "your," or "user") and Utkarsh Shigihalli, an individual developer operating under the name StackApps Studio ("I," "me," or "my"), governing your access to and use of my mobile applications, websites, and services (collectively, the "Services").

By accessing or using my Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and my Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately discontinue use of all Services.

1.3 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase premium features or subscriptions. Users under 18 may use the free versions of my Services only with parental or guardian consent and supervision. By using my Services, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

1.4 Geographic Restrictions

Certain Services, particularly NUMO, are designed exclusively for users in the United Kingdom and feature UK-specific financial products and calculations. While I do not restrict access based on location, calculations and features may not be applicable or accurate outside the UK.

2. Description of Services

2.1 NUMO - Financial Calculator Application

NUMO provides financial calculation tools including:

Annual Equivalent Rate (AER) calculators with multiple modes
NS&I Premium Bonds tracking and comparison
Mortgage amortization and affordability calculators
Savings goal planning tools
Comparison features for ISAs and Premium Bonds

2.2 Wordstash - Vocabulary Learning Application

Wordstash provides vocabulary learning tools using spaced repetition methodology for language acquisition and retention.

2.3 Service Availability

I strive to provide continuous access to my Services but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Services may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond my control. I reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of my Services at any time without prior notice.

3. Account Registration and Security

3.1 Account Creation

Some features may require account creation. When creating an account, you agree to:

Provide accurate, current, and complete information
Maintain and promptly update your account information
Maintain the security and confidentiality of your account credentials
Notify me immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach

3.2 Account Responsibility

You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account. I am not liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized use of your account credentials.

4. Subscription and Payment Terms

4.1 Free Tier

My Services offer free tiers with limited functionality:

NUMO Free Tier includes:

Access to all three core calculators (AER, Premium Bonds Tracker, Mortgage)
Up to 5 saved calculations total
Up to 1 Premium Bonds holding
Standard features with advertisements

Wordstash Free Tier includes:

Basic vocabulary learning features
Limited deck access
Advertisement-supported experience

4.2 Premium Subscriptions

NUMO Premium is available via:

Annual Subscription: £9.99 per year
Auto-renews annually unless cancelled
Charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account
Lifetime Purchase: £39.99 one-time payment
Permanent access to premium features
No recurring charges
Non-transferable

Premium Features include:

Unlimited saved calculations
Unlimited Premium Bonds holdings
Ad-free experience
Advanced calculator modes
Priority support
Cloud sync across devices (when available)

4.3 Payment Processing

All payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Your purchase will be charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account upon confirmation. I do not directly process or store payment information.

4.4 Auto-Renewal Terms

Annual subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price.

To cancel auto-renewal:

iOS: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → NUMO → Cancel Subscription
Android: Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions → NUMO → Cancel Subscription

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain premium access until that date.

4.5 Price Changes

I reserve the right to modify subscription prices at any time. Price changes will not affect existing subscribers until their next renewal period. I will provide at least 30 days' notice of price increases via email or in-app notification.

4.6 Refund Policy

Refunds are handled according to Apple App Store and Google Play Store policies:

Apple App Store: Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple. I do not control Apple's refund decisions.
Google Play Store: Refund requests must be submitted directly to Google. I do not control Google's refund decisions.

Lifetime purchases are generally non-refundable after the initial 14-day period under UK Distance Selling Regulations. Refund requests within 14 days of purchase must be submitted through the respective app store.

I do not offer refunds for:

Partial subscription periods
Unused portions of annual subscriptions
Change of mind after the refund window
Dissatisfaction with free features

4.7 Free Trials

I may offer free trial periods from time to time. Free trials automatically convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial period ends. Trial eligibility may be limited to new users only.

THE SERVICES, INCLUDING ALL CALCULATORS, PROJECTIONS, COMPARISONS, AND ANALYSIS PROVIDED BY NUMO, ARE FOR INFORMATIONAL AND EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THEY DO NOT CONSTITUTE FINANCIAL ADVICE, INVESTMENT ADVICE, LEGAL ADVICE, TAX ADVICE, OR ANY OTHER FORM OF PROFESSIONAL ADVICE.

YOU SHOULD NOT RELY ON ANY CALCULATIONS, PROJECTIONS, OR INFORMATION PROVIDED BY MY SERVICES TO MAKE FINANCIAL DECISIONS WITHOUT CONSULTING A QUALIFIED FINANCIAL ADVISOR, ACCOUNTANT, OR OTHER APPROPRIATE PROFESSIONAL.

The 1.5% average return assumption:

Many holders receive zero prizes

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MY TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF:

(A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO ME IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR
(B) £50 (FIFTY POUNDS STERLING)

6.2 Exclusion of Consequential Damages

I SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY:

Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages

Business interruption

THIS EXCLUSION APPLIES REGARDLESS OF:

The legal theory upon which the claim is based (contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise)
Whether I was advised of the possibility of such damages
Whether such damages were foreseeable

6.3 Force Majeure

You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of important information.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you. In such jurisdictions, my liability shall be limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

6.7 Individual Developer Limitation

As an individual developer operating independently, I have limited resources. The liability limitations in these Terms reflect my status as a sole developer and the nature of the Services as calculation tools provided for informational purposes.

Copy, reproduce, or redistribute any content from the Services without permission
Frame or mirror any part of the Services on other websites

Regarding Accounts:

Create multiple accounts to circumvent free tier limitations
Share your account credentials with others
Create accounts using false or misleading information
Sell, transfer, or sublicense your account to third parties

Regarding Financial Misuse:

Use calculations or projections in a manner that violates financial regulations
Misrepresent calculations as professional financial advice
Use the Services to promote or facilitate financial fraud

Regarding Intellectual Property:

Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
Create competing products or services using my intellectual property

12. Termination

12.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your use of the Services at any time by:

Uninstalling the application from your device
Cancelling your subscription through the App Store or Play Store
Ceasing to access the Services
Requesting account deletion (if applicable)

Termination does not entitle you to a refund of subscription fees already paid.

12.2 Termination by Me

I reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to:

Violation of these Terms
Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
Non-payment of subscription fees
Extended period of inactivity
Discontinuation of the Services

12.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

Your license to use the Services immediately ceases
You must uninstall all copies of the application
I may delete your account data and saved information
Subscription benefits immediately end (no pro-rata refunds)

17. App Store-Specific Terms

17.1 Apple App Store

If you download the Services from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge and agree that:

These Terms are between you and Utkarsh Shigihalli only, not with Apple Inc. ("Apple")
Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the Services
In the event of any failure of the Services to conform to any warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). Apple has no other warranty obligation
Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or third parties relating to the Services
Apple is not responsible for investigation, defense, settlement, or discharge of any third-party claim that the Services infringe intellectual property rights
You represent that:
You are not located in a country subject to U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country
You are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties
Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right to enforce these Terms against you.

17.2 Google Play Store

If you download the Services from Google Play Store, you acknowledge and agree that:

These Terms are between you and Utkarsh Shigihalli only, not with Google LLC ("Google")
Google is not responsible for the Services or content thereof
Google has no obligation or liability to you with respect to the Services
You acknowledge and agree that Google is a third-party beneficiary to these Terms as it relates to the Services

18. Consumer Rights (UK)

18.1 UK Consumer Rights Act 2015

If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom, you have legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Nothing in these Terms affects those statutory rights that you cannot contractually agree to alter or waive.

Your statutory rights include:

Digital content must be as described, fit for purpose, and of satisfactory quality
Right to a repair or replacement if digital content is faulty
Right to a price reduction or refund in certain circumstances
Right to cancel distance contracts within 14 days

18.2 Distance Selling Regulations

For subscriptions purchased remotely (via app stores), you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase during which you may cancel for any reason. However:
